Already know some Spanish
and want to polish it?
...or join my 4-hour "Walk&Talk" city immersion Spanish class on Saturdays!
Pick any place in Medellin you'd like to visit: Comuna 13, Down-town, Parque Botero, MAAM, Parques del Río, ...

Take Plaza La Minorista, for example. It is one of the biggest marketplaces in Medellin and a perfect spot to practice your Spanish, dive into the local culture, and taste exotic tropical fruits.
These two young, working guys from La Minorista (in blue) didn't speak a single word of English. Yet, right after finishing their shift, they generously gave us 1 hour of their time just so my two Dutch students could practice everything we had learned in our previous lessons.
It was a lot of fun—and highly practical!
What do my students walk away with after this 4-hour immersion experience?
All my students break through the fear of not understanding and not being understood when communicating in Spanish
How?
We start by demystifying the grammar. I make sure they understand the underlying logic of the language, giving them the certainty that what they are saying is not just correct, but makes total sense to them. Once they have that foundation and the confidence that they will be understood, we hit the city. The streets become our real-world lab, allowing them to practice what they just learned in real situations, so they can keep using it independently long after the session ends.
Besides...
...they take home memorable experiences instead of just paying for a cookie-cutter
4-hour tour in English

OmSpanish IMMERSIONS
OmSpanish STANDARD LESSONS
and
OmSpanish ONLINE LESSONS
are structured Spanish lessons,
designed exactly the way you’d want to learn a language:
Learn a bit of grammar and put it into practice immediately.
About the intentions:
I am trying to choose a path of peace. A path of reconnection with the earth and with life itself—one rooted in meditation and patience. I am trying.I’m striving to spend more time with people and less time behind a screen. I am learning to trust in everything I am and everything that moves me, reconciling my strengths with my weaknesses. The name 'OmSpanish' came to me in November 2025, after a week of yoga practice at an Ashram near Medellin. I don’t claim to 'own' this concept. I am still a novice at yoga; sitting down to meditate is still a struggle for me, but I keep trying. However, one thing that doesn't cost me any effort at all is teaching Spanish. I love it. I enjoy it. I don’t have all the answers, but together we can find them and learn from the very process of searching. Through 'OmSpanish,' I want to resonate with those who aspire to be better human beings. If that speaks to you, I invite you to see if I am the right person to accompany you—even briefly—on your journey of learning Spanish.Am I a good teacher? I’ve been teaching for at least ten years. I don’t just imagine I’m good; I know it because I see the results in my students, who always end up becoming my teachers in many other ways, too.About the person: I’m Julian, mucho gusto. If you’re in Medellín right now, welcome! I moved here over 20 years ago (though I’m originally from Los Llanos, a beautiful region in eastern Colombia - the plains). Why do I teach Spanish? I came here to study and now hold a degree in English-French-Spanish Translation from the Universidad de Antioquia (Medellin). I graduated in 2014 and initially started teaching English, but I soon realized that teaching Spanish was my true calling.I love it, I enjoy it, and I’m good at it.But those are all just words. How about we meet for some minutes at a café in Laureles so you can meet me in person?
